Drawdown Innovate Workshop

     Net Impact Delhi University

    Drawdown Innovate

The Drawdown Innovate event was hosted by Net Impact Delhi University in Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, Delhi University on 27th of February 2018. The event began with a short description which essentially explained the participants that Drawdown Innovate is about imagining original ideas that scale climate solutions through new ventures, using design thinking and business planning. Three innovative solutions were introduced; Regenerative Agriculture, Educating Girls and Net Zero buildings. Participants, who had the option to form teams of 1/2/3 were sorted into one of these solutions according to their choice.

With 45 minutes of time, they did a general research on their solutions and identified pain points. In the next 15 minutes, participants framed the underlying question around the pain point they deemed to be the most problematic. With the main problem clear in front of them, then came the task of Ideation. Participants were provided with 50 minutes to brainstorm and gut check. With a final idea layout now ready, participants were provided with 20 minutes to create a prototype of their idea. The prototype could be anything; Role play, Storyboard, Mockup, Model or some other elaborate structure. Next, each team was given 5 minutes to present their idea and prototype. Through a learning motivated environment, reviews were exchanged and questions were raised. The event was wound up and deemed a success.
