DONATION DRIVE

'Poverty is the worst form of violence.'
                                  -Mahatma Gandhi

Even after 65 years of independence, the proportion of poor people in our country is relatively high. Some people cannot even afford two square meals a day. There are about 8 crore urban people whose income is estimated to be below poverty line and around 4.5 crore urban people have income on the borderline of poverty.

Keeping all this in mind, the team of NET IMPACT DELHI UNIVERSITY organised a donation drive on January 12 at Goonj's Karkardooma Centre. The donations were made in the form in of clothes, utensils, books, toys, shoes and a lot more by the members. It was an amazing experience for each one of us and we would love to do something like this again.

So remember NOT TO THROW THEM WHEN YOU CAN MAKE SOMEONE SMILE. :)
