PLANTATION DRIVE 2017

Delhi is one of the most polluted cities of India. In 2014, WHO declared it as the most polluted city in the world. The rapid accrual of  population, lack of appropriate methods for the treatment of waste, everyday rise in the number of vehicles, more reliance on fossil fuels put heavy pressure on the environment. Every second person here is suffering from asthma or some other breathing ailment.

To rein this menace, NET IMPACT DELHI UNIVERSITY organised a plantation drive on November 17, 2017 at MCD School, Vivek Vihar. The saplings were planted in the school premises and several posters and banners were made to awaken people about the same. Ultimately, everyone took a pledge to plant trees more often and make Delhi a clean and green city.
